65 % Öküzgözü (oh-cooz-goe-zue)
35% Petit Verdot
Known as Bull’s Eye for its large, dark fruit, Okuzgozu is a deeply-colored indigenous variety with fruit-forward flavors of black cherry, raspberry and lively acidity comparable to a full-bodied Barbera or balanced California Zinfandel. Petit Verdot adds floral aromas, structure from high tannins and deep color to the blend with flavors of deep, blue fruit and exotic spice.
Tasting Notes: Petit Verdot adds depth and varietal typicity to this blend with ripe, granular tannins, black fruit, cinnamon stick, dark spices, leather, and a smoky, savory umami notes. The wine is balanced and expressive with the potential to develop though not intended for extensive aging.
Designation: Turkey
Sub Regions: Eastern Anatolia and Thrace
