60 % Öküzgözü (oh-cooz-goe-zue)
40% Cabernet Sauvignon
Known as Bull’s Eye for its large, dark fruit, Okuzgozu is a deeply-colored indigenous variety with fruit-forward flavors of black cherry, raspberry and lively acidity comparable to a full-bodied Barbera or balanced California Zinfandel. In 1993, Cabernet Sauvignon was the first international variety planted at Gulor’s estate vineyards in Tekirdag. These mature estate Cabernet Sauvignon vines contribute red fruit, structure and finesse to the blend.
Tasting Notes: Ruby black core to ruby rim with red and black fruit and spicy black pepper aromas. Medium acidity and tannins with expressive fruit on a lengthy finish. Balanced and harmonious with the potential to develop though not intended for extensive aging.
